| Remarks |
Models DHC-2 Mark I and DHC-2 Mark II, both fitted with reciprocating radial engines, have been classified to be part of Annex I under Regulation (EU) 2018/1139 and therefore fall outside the scope of EASA responsibilities. Adoption of this AD does not constitute approval of the listed parts, which is particularly important for critical PMA parts. The AD explicitly states that it allows installation of "parts that are approved for installation in DHC-2". For EU regulatory purposes this means that, without an approval under EU rules, or previous (pre-28 September 2003) approval under National rules, the part cannot (legally) be installed. Comments regarding this AD should be referred to the Programming and Continued Airworthiness Information Section, Certification Directorate, EASA;
